My name is Jimmy Barton. My wife Heather and I reside in Monticello, MS and have 3 wonderful children, Tristan, Drake and Isabel. We are very passionate about the outdoors and include our entire family in our outdoor adventures.
I grew up hunting and fishing in rural Mississippi and some of my most fond memories as a child are hunting and fishing. I went on my first hunting trip when I was barely old enough to carry a shotgun and have always been a fanatical fisherman. I don’t play golf because golf balls don’t make for good table fare. My passion for the outdoors lead me to a real duck hunt when I was 23 years old with a local County Judge and I have been hooked ever since. I hunted wood ducks as a kid but had never experienced mallards and gadwall with wings cupped, feet down and falling thru the timber into a decoy spread. I would have been able to retire at 45 or 50 if I hadn’t gotten hooked on duck hunting, now I will probably never be able to retire.

My duck hunting passion lead me to the Mississippi Delta where my best friend, Charles Mullins and I started Delta Daydreams Duck Club. The hunting club started small with only a few members and has now grown into a very nice well established duck club with some world class deer hunting opportunities. During my early years of duck hunting I realized that to be successful as a duck hunter you needed some good equipment including heavy duty duck boats and motors that will allow you to run the shallow water areas that ducks love to feed in and other hunters aren’t willing to sacrifice to get to.
